     3.  cutter

     4.  rubber mallet

     5.  adjustable wrench

     6.  hex wrench:  4, 5, 6 mm

     7.  wrench mostly metric:   10, 12, 14, 17 mm

     8.  soldering iron

     9.  oil

   10   grease

   11.  masking tape

    12.  teflon tape

How come I become interested in repairs

 Well because I bike and many appliances lie idle because:   1.  no one is available to repair, 2.  repair

costs too much.  That is my complaint too with mechanics.  Sometimes all that they do is to tighten or loosen a screw or nut.  And they charge you so much.

It is a hassle to bring the bike to the bike, and argue and sometimes spit your bile out over a lousy repair

Sometimes the mechanic do not know what to do.

If they sense  you do not know, unless the mechanic is close to you or your friend, you are a prey.

Welcome to this post

 With patience and some videos from a famous video sharing center, you can repair almost anything, provided you have tools.

In the process you:

      1.  Keep your mind sharp;

      2.  You become process and quality oriented;

      3.  You have plenty of aha moments

Over the years, I have learned to trouble shoot:

     1.   car     2.  bike,    3. rice cooker   4.  electric fan.

By knowing how to repair and learning the inner working of machines, you learn how to take care of them better, and thus prolonging their service life.

Join me in the world of mechanical and repairs.   (No electronics)

Black smoke after replacing turbos and injector

 It could be due to the intercooler.   Signs of defective intercooler:   black soot and oil at the underside from the leak.
