Low readership; people do not bother with repairs

 This blog has been out for several months and total page views is only 40.  This means we all all ready live in use and dispose society.  I hope economy minded citizens like me, recycling minded citizens will see the light of the day and study repairing soon

Emergency Front axle repair

 One of the most annoying thing for truckers is to have breakdown and you need to repair the truck immediately, lest you do not get paid.  If you have perishable goods, the goods for delivery might rot and decompose.

The alternative to this is to buy brand new trucks (which the people here can not afford)  build your own repair facilties: with parts inventory, technicians, machine shop.

Here we can see that numerous technicians and machine shop make emergency repairs possible...

Those remarkable Pakistani craftsmen capable of doing almost any repairs

 One cant help but admire the remarkable skills of Pakistani craftsmen in metal repairs:

1.  Broken trucks repair

2.  Upgrade of trucks from short body to long body;

3.  Repair of broken gears

4.  Die casting of parts, like alum wheels;

5.  Even making of lathe machine

6.  Mass production of nails, rebars, and other metal products from scrap metal.

Am sure from this repair will rise manufacturing and fabrication prowess

and they are so cheap.   One job would cost say $10.00.  How we wish we could access their cheap but quality repairs.  They weld well and make sure that the finishes are smooth and clean    They constantly use lathe machines to make their work appear A1.   Remarkable.

In our town and next town, there were many such shops but they died down with next generation.  Yuson, Santos, etc.    All other manufacturing shops vanished and even factories.    Say the C5 is all but 100% residential.

How come I become interested in repairs

 Well because I bike and many appliances lie idle because:   1.  no one is available to repair, 2.  repair

costs too much.  That is my complaint too with mechanics.  Sometimes all that they do is to tighten or loosen a screw or nut.  And they charge you so much.

It is a hassle to bring the bike to the bike, and argue and sometimes spit your bile out over a lousy repair

Sometimes the mechanic do not know what to do.

If they sense  you do not know, unless the mechanic is close to you or your friend, you are a prey.

Welcome to this post

 With patience and some videos from a famous video sharing center, you can repair almost anything, provided you have tools.

In the process you:

      1.  Keep your mind sharp;

      2.  You become process and quality oriented;

      3.  You have plenty of aha moments

Over the years, I have learned to trouble shoot:

     1.   car     2.  bike,    3. rice cooker   4.  electric fan.

By knowing how to repair and learning the inner working of machines, you learn how to take care of them better, and thus prolonging their service life.

Join me in the world of mechanical and repairs.   (No electronics)

Black smoke after replacing turbos and injector

 It could be due to the intercooler.   Signs of defective intercooler:   black soot and oil at the underside from the leak.
